In fact, others have challenged her on the issue and told her that if she wants their help all she has to do is force them. She completely refuses to go down such a path, however. The only way she wants help is by their own will, and earning their respect through her work and actions. Not because of what she is.
As a rule, because she is not human, and neither is she very much like her peers, she stands out as strange and unusual. She often jumps the gun and throws herself into situations where others would advise her to stop and think about the situation. Or does things that people would not expect someone from her position to do. Although she ranks above other vampires, and it is natural for them to defer to her, she often bows or treats them with equal respect-- something that definitely flusters the vampire world!
In addition she is very headstrong and a go-getter. Once she has her mind set on something, it doesn’t easily change. And she often recklessly throws herself into situations, regardless of whether or not it’s the appropriate thing to do, because it’s the only way she knows how to function. Even when her own weapon turned on her in the past, after re-discovering that she was actually a vampire, she refused to release it. Her strength of will overcame the weapon, ultimately, and accepts her now.
Yuuki very firmly stands by her beliefs. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and openly lobbies for peace and cooperation. Even though it is painful for her, she plans to stop and fight, if she must, her brother/fiance, before he can hurt any more innocent lives. Her willingness to stand up to someone who is obviously important to her, against all the odds not being in her favor, has begun to earn her more respect. Something that is hard come by between both vampires and hunters alike. As the ultimate proof of her being unable to stand on the sidelines and allow him to continue down this path, she later in canon comes up with the plan to die in order to turn him human. The spell would cost her life but render him memoryless and harmless, because she doesn’t believe she has the strength to stop him otherwise.
Beautiful, she can be serene and regal if the occasion calls for it, and was even trained in how to carry herself. But most of the time, she’s silly, cheerful, has an open appreciation for food (and sleep), and is very honest. If she’s unhappy, the individual will know it. Often she can become huffy or exasperated, and even childish at times. Likewise she’s playful, sweet, and expresses concern and interest in the people and things around her. She’s visibly earnest about everything she does, no matter the situation.
Although Yuuki abhors death and violence, she does believe in self defense and fighting if a person must. Although it has been stated by others in the past that she smells more of sunshine than blood, Yuuki has expressed that if she must, she will end the lives of those who would otherwise hurt others in order to ‘stop the sadness’.
Inwardly, Yuuki doesn’t like people to realize it, but she’s terrified of being alone. Because she is immortal, the idea of living forever while the rest of everyone else in her life dies is something she can barely think about or comprehend. And after her past few years of living locked away, and the differences between her and humans being instilled within her, the idea of her being compatible with others doesn’t feel realistic to her any longer. No one, except another pureblood, would be able to live for eternity with her. In the end, they’ll die and it will leave her alone.
Despite the fact that she keeps telling herself that certain things would never work out, she clearly has feelings for Zero Kiryuu within her canon, both a former human and hunter (as well as best friend, even if they had a falling out for a while). She would like to protect him, and hopes only for his happiness.

Due to being a swan she might be able to communicate with other animals, too, if they don't already speak.
